Bore Nadolig

Our first Christmas as a family saw us awake at 8am, all three of us. I had put stockings at the foot of the beds/cot on Christmas eve so that it would feel extra special. (Its been a looong time since ive done this.) The amount of gifts Elwen recieved led to there being two giant sacks filled with the main loot and a near endless stream of parcels scattered around them, supporting acts to the headline event.
I opened my mug first, a gift from my daughter which had a photograph of her precious face on it, and soon we were diving into her presents. And eventhough Elwen was only three months, she was aware of what was happening and watched as we unwrapped one gift after another. This actually took two sittings, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, such was the amount of stuff Santa had to bring down the chimney.
